2026 Stall Application

Horseman, On behalf of the Board of Directors of the World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale, I would like to formally invite you to the 75th World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale. The Board of Governors of the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale has once again made it a priority to continue to improve our horse racing facilities and meet. The added money in the Futurity and Derby will remain at $15,000 for 2026. Please spread the word! We would love nothing more than to fill every stall we have again.

Once again I would like to ask you as owners and trainers to make a concerted effort to make sure our meet is a success by filling our race cards. With that being said, we ask that you help to ensure we have full races and a full jockey room. It is the responsibility of you as owners and trainers to make sure you have a jockey available to ride.

Stalls will be available March 1st (weather permitting). The track will be available for training weather permitting March 1st. I have attached a stall application as well as our futurity nomination form with this letter and would appreciate you getting the stall applications back as soon as possible. I have already had quite a bit of interest so I want to make sure we have everyone covered as far as stalls are concerned.

We will continue our $5,000 jockey incentive program this year based on the number of mounts and $1,000 going to the “Ironman” jockey of the meet. Congratulations to Dakota Wood for winning this award last year. We will also be presenting awards to the top trainer and the top jockey at the end of the meet. Congratulations are also in order for last year's top trainer, Bob Johnson and top jockey, Dakota Wood.

I would also like to personally thank all of you for your continued support of our race meet and look forward to working with all of you this spring.

Horses & Mules coming into Montana
(Required by the Montana Department of Livestock)
Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) - All animals must have a negative EIA test (Coggins test) within the 12 months prior to importation.

Exception: A nursing foal under 6 months of age accompanied by the EIA negative dam is exempt from test requirements.

Owners are responsible for eligibility of horses being entered. Fees paid into stakes races on eligible horse may not be refunded.

To ADD multiple horses, click "ADD" buttom at bottom of section. 

Please notify us of any change in your list of horses after stall application has been sent in. There will be no stall rent charged. There will be a $20 cleaning fee assessed at settlement time unless waived by the director. Only sawdust will be used for bedding because of EPA issues. Each trainer is obligated to protect the horses in his/her care. Trainers are absolutely responsible for the condition of his/her horse(s). Trainers failing to do so will be asked to appear before the stewards.
