Bucking Horse Futurity Registration

Bucking Horse Futurity Registration

Saturday, May 17, 2024

The MCBHS Futurity has grown into a premier event that features the best up-and-coming and proven bucking stock from the nation’s top stock contractors.

1. Each team in the futurity will feature 3 horses with one horse in three different classes. The classes are the 3 year old dummy class, the 4-5 year old bronc with rider class, and the 6 year and older bronc with rider class.

 2. By rule, one horse from each team has to be offered for sale. As a result, multiple NFR bucking horses have been put up for sale during the event. In the past, each class boasted $2250 total in added money with $1000 added for first place, $750 for second, and $500 for third.

Other rules are as follows:

1. $1000 Team Entry Fee (Online Registration Below with Online Payment Option).

2. 100% Payback – Pays 1 hole per 5 team entries.

3. Teams can consist of multiple owners.

4. Event is Saturday, May 17 with dummy class starting at 10 AM.

5. 4-5 year old & 6 years and older horses Saturday afternoon with feature spot for sale horses.

6. At least one horse (or all) from the team must be presented for sale.

7. Additional information will be requested in the registration form below for sale horses.

8. Consignors are encouraged to include a YouTube link of their ‘for sale’ horses during registration for marketing purposes.

9. All horses must have current Coggins test prior to sale. If they do not have a current Coggins upon arrival, a Coggins can be done at Miles City Livestock Commission (MCLC), but the deadline for blood draw is Wednesday prior to the Sale. Anything beyond that will have to stay at MCLC until results are back, and checks will not be released until Coggins is clear.

10. Futurity horses need to be at MCLC by Friday at noon. This will allow them to be properly checked in and painted prior to Friday evening. We will show them the arena either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning prior to the 3 year-old Futurity—whichever time allows.

11. Once checked in to MCLC, transportation to and from the Fairgrounds must be cleared with MCLC personnel.

Sale horses must be housed at MCLC once checked in, and must be checked out of MCLC. No horses are to leave from the Fairgrounds until checked out, or hauled back to MCLC.
